We spent just over a week in the eastern foothills of the Picos de Europa, hiking from place to place while our luggage was moved for us. The mid-June landscapes were beautiful, ranging from meadows stuffed with wild flowers and butterflies to bare limestone crags where we spotted an ibex and watched griffon vultures gliding. It was wonderful to be able to explore this quiet, semi-montane area with More details confidence.
